What we offer...

We offer a variety of activities to encourage service users to learn new skills & build confidence & independence.
Here's an insight in to what we do...

Cookery

Our cookery sessions are aimed at building confidence in a kitchen environment. Service users work together to prepare baked goods to donate to our local school- for families who are struggling. They are assisted by staff to use utensils, weigh ingredients & understand food hygiene. Whilst the meal is cooking we follow through the theory with group discussions about nutrition, need for balanced diet & how to monitor food. Service users may also follow meal planning through in their computer sessions by typing recipes and internet research.

Computers

We have a range of computers available for service users to work on to research information for projects, type recipes, learning games and practice their computer skills. We have 2 iPads available to use also for those who may struggle with the layout of computers. This enables them to use their finger to connect to the computer, using programs such as coloring, word games, cards etc. Service users are assisted by our staff team to help them gain the most from their experience.
